Sprung Rhythm

A sprung rhythm is a metrical system devised by innovative nineteenth-century poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins, in which a line’s irregularly stressed syllables match the dynamic rhythms of everyday speech. It's also the name of this springy, rhythmic cowl!
