data we collect and why
When you place an order on our website, we collect your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and Ravelry username if provided. This is only used to fulfil your order. Your details are handled by Royal Mail during our fulfilment process: a reputable third party similarly subject to its own careful and transparent privacy policies.
We aim to communicate with you in ways that you find relevant, timely and respectful. Only if you have actively chosen to be subscribed to our mailing list will you receive emails about new products and special offers. Such emails are generally sent once a month, or a little more frequently at busy times of year when we are feeling particularly productive. We occasionally check our mailing lists and can see if emails are unopened. If you choose not to open our newsletters then over time we will remove email addresses off our lists without being prompted.
Protection of your personal data
We store your personal data on password-protected systems and never share this information with third parties except when required during the order fulfilment process. When you make a payment online, we do not store your card details or other information. Transactions are handled independently via Paypal and / or your bank provider.
Data Protection law recognises that certain categories of personal information are more sensitive such as race, religious beliefs, date and place of birth, and political opinions. We never collect this type of information. We only collect such details as are necessary to process your order.
We only use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used on our site
Controlling your information
If you would like a copy of the information we hold about you we can provide this when requested. Equally, if you believe that any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete then please contact us immediately and we will promptly correct it.
