Yorlin

A light cardigan for spring and summer, with structured lace panels, worked top down. Yorlin is an old Scots name for the yellowhammer.

Pattern notes

This cardigan is worked from the top down, casting on a few stitches, and increasing to shape the front neckline. Stitches are then cast on for each front, and two lace panels positioned, before shaping the sleeves and upper body with raglan increases. Sleeve caps are divided and set aside, then the body is worked to the desired length. Sleeves are picked up and worked top-down, before ribbed front bands and neck edging are worked. I-cord buttonholes complete the cardigan.
